Wizard is one of the most formidable spellcasters dealing with some of the most powerful elemental attacks in Ragnarok Origin Global. When it comes to High Wizard, it uses elements like Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, and even Ghosts.
All these abilities are ideal for destroying opponents but from a distance. With the right build for the Wizard class, you can have the most benefits in battle and in Ragnarok Origin Global. So, let's talk about the Ragnarok Origin Global Wizard build guide.
When it comes to building the ideal Wizard, you need to focus on a couple of things. The first one is maximizing magic damage. This is important because the Wizard build is primarily known for attacking with its magical powers. Hence, having the right stats for your magic attacking power would be most beneficial to you.
Secondly, you need to focus on decreasing casting time. This is because the less time you have in terms of casting, the more damage you will cause. Lastly, you also need to focus on your defense because the Wizard class isn't known for being tanky or a survival one.
You should focus on INT, DEX, and VIT stats for the ideal Wizard build, as they would yield the most results. But first, let's check how each of these stats would be valuable for your Wizard class.
● STR: Wizards don't usually need strength stats because they work with magic, and physical strength doesn’t really have much benefit for them.
● AGI: Agility is great because it increases your flee, and attack speed, and also provides defense to some degree. Earlier, we talked about the importance of survivability. Well, unless you want a Magic Crasher build or anything that doesn't require survivability.
● VIT: VIT increases your HP pool and physical defense and enhances HP potion effects. Moreover, your extra points should usually be focused on this stat.
● DEX: For spellcasting classes, DEX is the core skill that must be focused. The main benefit of using DEX is that it allows you to cast your spells faster. With Wizard, you need to focus on 80 base DEX, but you might need to invest in bigger and better numbers. However, the eventual goal is to get 100% variable CT reduction.
● LUK: LUK is beneficial for most characters in the game. But for wizards, it is even better because it increases your chance to inflict physical hits, critical resistance, and also increases your physical damage to some degree.
The allocation of these stats solely depends upon your play style. For example, most people would agree to play with 2 DEX and 1 INT ratio until you reach the ideal DEX level. The main reason behind focusing on DEX is that it allows you to cast spells faster, especially when you are early in the game. That’s where you would need it the most.
Moreover, getting additional magic damage from other sources, like the refinement and equipment enhancement options, is easier. But if you feel like your main power is not your magic, then you should not shy away from building most of the points towards the INT stat.
As a Wizard in the game, your main goal should be to finish your opponents with as much magical force as possible, with minimal effort involved, and for that purpose, investing in the INT stat makes the most sense.
When it comes to the VIT or Vitality stat, it can be a third focus for when you are accustomed to INT and DEX levels. You will access skills like Fire Wall, Safety Wall, and Energy Coat, which will all benefit from the VIT stat as they will allow you to survive for a longer period of time.
Earlier on in the game, however, you don't need to focus on VIT a lot. Because early on, you can compensate for the lack of VIT with good armor and HP-increasing stats or items.
Now. Let's talk about the Wizard skills and what you should be focusing on.
● Sight (1): Slight is a support spell that summons a ball of fire that moves around you. Anyone who touches this ball of fire will be revealed.
● Sightrasher (10): While you have the Sight skill activated, you can use Sightrasher to shoot similar balls of fire, except these ones will actually damage the opponents and knock them back. However, this skill requires level 1 Sight to unlock.
● Fire Pillar (10): Fire Pillar is a fast cast, and it is a low cooldown AOE fire spell that also ignores the enemy's MDEF. It summons a Fire Pillar in your target area that deals with multiple enemies who touch it.
● Meteor Storm (10): Meteor Storm is one of the most popular spells in the Wizard skill tree, and it is a strong AOE fire spell that rains waves of meteors in a specific area. Moreover, it also has good chances of stunning the enemies but requires level 5. Fire Pillar and a level 3. Sightrasher to unlock.
● Water Ball (10): Water Ball is similar to another skill called Soul Strike. However, to use this skill, you must stand in water or while it is raining. However, in rain, the spell would be harder to cast. So, you need to find the fine line.
● Storm Gust (10): Another great Wizard spell that perfectly pairs with another skill called Lord of Vermilion. Any target in this area of the spell is knocked around while getting water damage. Water is one of the strongest and best stats for the Wizard class. You don't need to take Storm Gust level to more than ten as it will start having a negative effect.
● Jupiter Thunder (10): With Jupiter Thunder, you fire a ball of lightning that deals with Wind damage to an enemy. At level and up, it adds a knockback effect to the skill. Moreover, it requires a level 3 Thunderstorm to unlock.
