Tears of Dream is one of the newest additions to the games, and it is a currency that was introduced in update 1.6. The currency caters mainly to improving the quality of life in the game, but it is one of the most valuable items you can have in the game.

After the update, most players received a little part of this currency in the in-game mail, which allows players to grasp the functionality and how it actually works. However, you can obtain Tears of Dreams through the Nameless Honor Battle Pass' Paid Truck.

How to get Tears of Dream in Honkai: Star Rail?

Tears of Dreams is a currency that is mostly obtained from the paid track of Nameless Honor alongside Herta Contract Resource Supply V2. When it comes to the Herta Contract Resource Supply drops 150 tears and can also be purchased up to six times per update. When it comes to the Nameless Honor battles, here are the levels and the number of tiers available.

At level 15, you can get 24 tears for yourself. It stays like that when you are at levels 20, 25, and 35. Up until all these levels, you get 24 tears, but it changes as you level up more quickly. After level 35, when you reach levels 40, 45, and 50, you get 72 tears each time which will help you drastically increase your quality of life.

Hence, when it comes to the Battle Pass, you can get a total of 316 tears. However, players are not recommended to get a Battle Pass just to get Tears of Dreams. It is because it's not worth it just to get Tears of Dreams.

Once you start the game, you get 150 Tears of Dreams. This is true for when you get to the 1.6 update. However, to get these tears, players must finish one of the following prerequisites. Firstly, if your Equilibrium Level is greater than or equal to 1, then you can get Tears of Dreams right in your mail.

As we have already talked about, buy the premium Battle Pass or Nameless Glory of the Nameless Honor. If you can buy Nameless Glory and reach level 50 in it, then it is guaranteed that you will get a total of 288 Tears of Dreams, which is quite a lot. However, you will need to put a considerable level of effort into reaching level 50.

Lastly, players can also get Tears of Dreams by buying Herta Contract: Resource Supply V2. There are not many free areas that you can get Tears of Dreams from. However, if you plan on buying the Battle Pass, then and only then can you enjoy the true essence of what Tears of Dreams brings for you in the game.

But what is the use case for Tears of Dreams? For starters, Tears of Dreams can be used to exchange any missing Path Materials in the game. Path Materials are essential if you want to make a build according to your liking. And if they are missing, then you might not have the ideal build that you wanted for your character.

As we have already mentioned, the game allows you to exchange any missing materials that you need for character ascension and Tears of Dreams is the ideal thing for that. Moreover, if you don't see the prompt to use Tears for exchanging the path materials, it means you already own some path materials from the lower tiers.

Hence, here, there is no point in using something like the Tears of Dreams as you already own materials that are capable enough to give you the path upgrade according to your liking. You can call it a poor design system but as you understand how it works, you will get better at the game in such a short time.

As you are trying to level up Traces, Ascend Characters, or Light Cones, you will be prompted to use Tears of Dreams if you don't have the required amount of Path materials available. All you need to do is click on "Use Tears of Dreams" and the game will automatically calculate the amount of Tears the players need to use in order to obtain the desired item.
