Wuthering Waves tier list is a topic of discussion as there are a plethora of characters to choose from.
With a total of 18 characters at the time of this tier list, not all characters are created equal. So, this is the most accurate Wuthering Waves tier list for this year and you can leverage it to improve your gameplay and always work towards the betterment. Let's check them out!
Yinlin is undoubtedly the best character in Wuthering Waves. She's a 5-star Electro character who uses a Rectifier during fights. Her Outro Skill provides 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Deepen and 20% Electro DMG Deepen, which puts her in the upper echelon of characters in the game.
The only problem with her is that her multipliers are not impressive even with maxed-out abilities, which means her performance can be limiting sometimes.
The 5-star Spectro character who uses Rectifier during her battle, Verina, is an interesting case. Her healing abilities and Concerto Energy acquisition are some of the best you will find in Wuthering Waves. Moreover, her Inherent skill can provide a 20% ATK buff to the entire team, which puts you at a further advantage.
The only downside to her Intro Skill is that after using it and entering the field, she can use aerial attacks to do Photosynthesis. Still, due to the landing process afterward, she can't use her Echo or Resonance skills.
Jiyan is a 5-star Aero character in Wuthering Waves who has the duties of a decision-maker, which makes him such a badass character. He is quite simple to use and the ideal character to reroll for. Jiyan is fairly easy to master, too, making him suitable for beginners.
By using fast-switching combat techniques in Ming Tide, you can switch teammates swiftly after each use of Lance of Qinglong. This will minimize any downtime, and you will play with one of the best DPS on the team.
Calcao is the head of Ghost Hounds, and he focuses on using enhanced Basic Attack with Forte Circuit for maximum damage. He is also a permanent 5-star character, but his cons prevent him from becoming an SS-tier Wuthering Waves character.
His main strength comes when he's with Yinlin. Paired up with her, he can do anything and do a lot of damage. However, he requires a certain Energy Regen stat to help shorten his Liberation Activation time, which puts him at a disadvantage.
A 5-star fusion character, Encore's damage multiplier in a single cycle is comparable to Jiyan and Calcharo, which makes her a great DPS in the game. Moreover, her Dodge Counter, after activating the Resonance Liberation, can directly link to Basic Attack 3, minimizing damage.
However, she needs teammates to replenish her Resonance energy or to manage downtime without the Resonance Liberation.
Rover's switch to the Havoc attribute makes her an overpowered character in Wuthering Waves. She's between 4 and 5 stars, and her skill rate and form are perfect. After she reaches the Dark Surge stats, the lower multiplier Basic Attack segments can be canceled through Dodgin Resonance Skill or Resonance Liberation.
However, a single output cycle in the Dark Surge ability takes a lot of time to recover and can easily be interrupted by super-armour bosses.
Sanhua is a 4-star Glacio character who uses a Sword during fights. She has burst capabilities, but they are just not as high as you think they would be.
However, she does have the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in Wuthering Waves, which makes her a good character for the start.
Baizhi is another 4-star Glacio character. With Resonance Liberation, her healing effect is comparable to that of Verina. Moreover, with this skill, she can also gain up to 42 points of Concerto Energy at once. The only issue is with Baizhi's inherent skill, as it can only provide an attack buff to a single character.
Mortefi is a 4-star character whose Outro Skill buff is quite suitable for someone like Jiyan. So, if you have Jiyan in your team, it would make him the best support so far. Moreover, once he uses the Resonance Skill mechanism, it allows for a large amount of both Concerto and Resonance Energy to be accumulated in the shortest possible time.
The only issue with Mortefi is his high internal cooldown time.
Lingyang is the perfect character if you want someone who has the coolest vibe ever. Skill-wise, his QTE cycle and Resonance Liberation are as sweet as they come. But once you master it, he can definitely be considered an S-Tier character.
But the issue with this character is that he's quite hard to master, which makes him relatively weaker against super-armor enemies.
Danjin is a 4-star Havoc character who has quite a high damage but her limit is his survivability. She can destroy most single-target damage with the right build. However, she confuses her own HP when using the Resonance Skill all the way down to 1%. This turns his advantage into a disadvantage really quickly.
Chixia is a 4-star Fusion character, which is obtained when you first start Wuthering Waves. She has extremely strong burst capability, and her Resonance Chain benefits are great for a 4-star character. However, her damage mainly focuses on the Resonance Skill Boom Boom and Daka Daka. However, in the Forte Circuit, it takes a lot of time to execute and can easily be interrupted.
While Jianxin is a permanent 5-star character in Wuthering Waves, her cons outweigh her pros. She can provide high-value shields that are shared across the team, and during this time, all the characters will get on-field health restoration too.
However, her efficiency for both Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy is low. Furthermore, once the Forte Circuit is used, it will be cleared after exiting the charge state.
Now we have the regular Rover. For a variety of reasons, she isn't as effective as Rover Havoc. While she is relatively easy to develop, her overall stats are way too low compared to some other characters on the list. On top of that, she has fewer opportunities to be used once high Resonance chain 4-star or 5-star characters are obtained.
Yangyang is a free character that is received after you enter Wuthering Waves. Her Resonance Liberation can pull enemies together, providing benefits when paired with her teammates as she can attack enemies in a small area.
However, there's nothing much to Yangyang after this.
Another 4-star character, Taoqi, can provide shields and act as a good protector in Wuthering Waves. However, her Resonance Skill can only heal a character and does nothing else. Even with damage reduction, there is still a risk of her getting severely damaged and losing in a battle.
Yuanwu is mainly based on defense and he uses his Resonance skill to summon Thunder Wedge to perform synergy attacks. He has high defense and strong survivability. However, he has many disadvantages like the ability to deplete Vibration strength, but only by 10%.
Aalto is a DPS character that relies on Basic Attack and Resonance Skills with high survivability. However, in high-pressure environments, it makes it difficult for Aalto to adjust, which ultimately affects his damage output.
When it comes to Wuthering Waves, there are many unique characters you can choose from. However, if you want to reroll for the best possible character, then you should check out the SS tier and S-tier ones. We hope this Wuthering Waves tier list can help new players have a better start in this game.
