Journey of Monarch is full of some of the most exciting characters of all time. There are more than 20 characters in the game, with each varying in terms of class, but when you join the game early on, you are greeted by four main classes.

These four classes include Knight, Dark Elf, Elf, and Mage. Each of these characters or classes offers unique abilities, gameplay, and roles, and even the playstyles are very different. And if you're starting out as a Journey of Monarch beginner, we have ranked them for you.

S-Tier: Knight

The Knight in Journey of Monarch is not only one of the most popular classes but also one with the most emotional backstory. This character is a young warrior who is on his way to seeking true justice. His journey will contain honor, perseverance, and a lot of killing, so if you like straightforward gameplay, then go for it.

To make it interesting, the way they have framed the Knight's journey is all about self-mastery, but if you look at characters like the Knight in other games, you will find that they are usually the best ones for starters. But what about Knights in Journey of Monarch?

Well, for starters, when it comes to their abilities, their Basic Attack inflicts 125% attack damage to hit targets which is quite decent for a class of knight At the same time, the Critical Attack delivers 200% attack damage to the targets, making it one of the best attacks in the game.

But what's a game changer about Knight is its ultimate final attack called Shock Stun, which deals a whopping 400% of attack power damage to the hit target. But there is more. When this attack is successful, the target is stunned for 1.5 seconds, giving you all the time to retaliate and attack even more.

Knight Analysis

So, is Knight a class you should pick as a beginner? Well, if you consider Knight's high durability and power abilities, it makes him a top-tier choice for beginners and statistically the best class in Journey of Monarch. Its defensive nature and the utility that Shock Stun provides are way off the charts.

Not only can you become a great crowd controller in the game but survivability is quite a lot when it comes to the  Knight class. As a beginner, we highly recommend you to go with Knight since it will give you the most progress in the shortest time possible.

A-Tier: Dark Elf

Dark Elf has more of a dark past, even compared to the darkest classes you would see in Journey of Monarch. This character has descended from the legendary Lastevard and had a life full of sacrifices and determination.

Dark Elf is a melee class and it looks mysterious, and acts mysterious, giving people a lot of appeal when it comes to choosing the complex storyline. All in all, if you're looking for a player that is a little difficult to use but rivals or even surpasses Knight in most stats, then this class would be ideal for you.

But how does it even get so strong? You see, the Basic Attack inflicts a whopping 138% damage to the hit target. Then, we have the Critical Attack that delivers an impressive 220% of attack damage on the hit targets.

But where the Dark Elf class really shines is in its ultimate attack which is the Armor Break and unlike any other class, it does such an overwhelming amount of damage, amounting to a total of 440% attack damage to the hit target.

However, there's a lot more. You see, on every successful ultimate attack, it decreases the target's physical defense by 5% for a total of 3 seconds. On paper, the Dark Elf class looks more superior than Knight but it is a little more difficult to use for beginners, which is why we're ranking it in the A-tier.

Dark Elf Analysis

So, is the Dark Elf perfect for beginners? Well, when you have a character who is the God of close battles, then yes, there's a lot to love about Dark Elf if you can get through the combat system and a relatively low HP.

B-Tier: Elf

The Elf character was exiled from the forest and now it wanders the world looking for atonement. Unlike Dark Elf, Elf is more and the character's redemption is loved by people who love a second chance and personal growth.

When it comes to Elf's basic attack, it inflicts 131% attack damage to the hit target. The critical attack on the other hand is 220% damage giving and then we have Triple Arrow, which does an amazing 540% attack damage to the opponents.

Elf Analysis

The Elf's ranged attacks give us a much safer combat experience, and even though it might be the highest in terms of stats when it comes to its ultimate attack, it has a very low HP which is why it is quite vulnerable at the close end.

C-Tier: Mage

The Mage is more of a cursed individual with a very deadly eye. The character is shrouded in darkness and mysterious vibes, which makes it quite a big choice for many Journey of Monarch players. Moreover, with its tragic fate and darker background, you're getting someone who is not only strong but decent for beginners as well.

The Basic Attack for mage does a good 131% damage to the hit targets. She also does a Critical Attack damage of 210% but finally, the Immunity is a buffing ability that grants 4% increase in damage resistance for 3 seconds to one ally.

Mage Analysis

All in all, the Mage is a decent class but you are not getting many benefits like you would expect from other classes. The main deal breaker for the Mage class is that the ultimate attack isn't as useful since she cannot actually hurt other opponents. She can only give buffs to her allies, which isn't even that impressive.
